ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Twelfth Edition


ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Twelfth Edition will be used for admitted episodes of care from 1 July 2022.

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS classification system consists of:

  • Classification of diseases, injuries and related health problems - International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM)
  • Classification of surgeries, therapies and health interventions - Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI)
  • Classification guidelines for nationally consistent application of ICD-10-AM and ACHI - Australian Coding Standards (ACS)
